The Center on Instruction hosted a webinar on October 19, 2011, to discuss the recent position statement from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) on response to intervention (RTI). Moderator Dr. Russell Gersten and panelists Dr. John Woodward, Dr. David Chard, and Dr. Ben Clarke discussed how NCTM’s position statement aligns with and differs from the typical special education/school psychology positions on RTI and approaches to interventions for struggling students.
