“RTI (Part 2): Assessment” continues to examine how Rosa Parks Elementary implements RTI. With more detail now about Mrs. Hernandez and her struggling readers, this module highlights the steps of the assessment process for each tier of the standard treatment protocol approach and describes how to use the assessment data to make instructional, or tier, decisions. Teachers will find a variety of helpful tools in the module including progress monitoring materials, on-line progress monitoring resources, and calculators that help teachers determine students’ reading progress.
