This report presents the findings of a two-year research study that explored the impact of language and literacy curricula used in Even Start classrooms. This experimental study used seven outcome measures that gathered data in language, literacy, social competence, parenting skills, parent literacy, instructional practices, and participation in parent classes to determine the effectiveness of Classroom Literacy Interventions and Outcomes (CLIO) and Let’s Begin with the Letter People when used with and without the Partners for Literacy (PALS) parent training materials.
